In the early 1970's, MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity) opened its doors in an effort to transform the lives of the neediest residents of the San Fernando Valley - poor children and their struggling families. Starting as a small group of volunteers working from a garage, MEND has grown primarily by word-of-mouth into one of the leanest operating non-profit organizations in existence.In 2004, we served over 456,000 individuals. This site documents the construction of a new 40,000sf facility.

Concrete Pour_12.28.2005

Concrete went in on the 28th of December. Luckly the rain held off until after the pour. About 16,000 square feet of concrete was poured in 16 hours.
